VALUABLE CAMERA COPS COMPLAINTS

Complaints of revenue raising have been levelled at the Baird Government, as it considers the future of a fixed speed camera on Hinterland Way near Ewingsdale.

Shadow Roads Minister Jodi Mckay says the camera raises around $1.5-million in revenue every year.

She claims despite that, the number of speeding offences have risen.

Police disagree, saying the camera has significantly reduced the number of accidents in the area.
