ESSENTIAL ENERGY FUTURE GOES TO A VOTE
The fight to save 800 regional Essential Energy jobs continues this week, with company employees receiving ballot papers to vote on a potential protest.
About 40 workers in the north west are facing the axe, and a new workplace agreement being proposed by the electricity provider having no job security from June 2018.
Responses proposed by the Electrical Trades Union include work stoppages of up to 72 hours, and cutting the use of technology.
Staff have until March 22 to cast their vote.
