Detectives have charged two teenagers following the alleged attempted sexual assault of a woman during a home invasion near Lismore last month.
The boys – aged 15 and 16 – allegedly threatened a 20-year-old woman with a knife inside her Goonellabah home on June 23, before trying to sexually assault her.
The woman had her two-year-old son with her at the time.
The pair fled before emergency services arrived.
Yesterday police arrested the youths at a home in Goonellabah.
They were later charged with a string of offences and will front children’s court today.
