ROCK FISHERMAN PULLED FROM WATER ALIVE SOUTH OF NEWCASTLE

In an extremely rare occurrence, a rock fisherman has been plucked from the water alive, after coming off rocks south of Newcastle.
The man was able to keep his head above water, thanks to a semi-buoyant fishing vest, and a life preserver.

  1. Exceptional reporting Kate. Three young swimmers were rescued from the surf ALIVE last Sunday at Crowdy Head, another rare occurrence? Why do Rock Fishing incidents attract so much negative press? More people drown from diving than rock fishing.
