Port Stephens Council has been forced to delay moves to place a new plan for Boomerang Park on public display.
This morning, three councillors lodged a rescission motion against the exhibition period – in the wake of last night’s extraordinary meeting backing it.
Geoff Dingle, Peter Kafer and John Nell all object to parts of the plan, which could pave the way for development on the park.
The rescission motion will be debated by council next Tuesday.
