TWO ARRESTED AFTER POLICE SEIZE CASH AND PROHIBITED DRUGS NEAR LISMORE
Two men have been charged, after drugs were seized from a house near Lismore yesterday.
About 5pm, police searched a home on Wenga Drive at Alstonvale.
During the search, police allegedly discovered cannabis seeds, MDMA powder, illicit mushrooms, cash and 1.15kg of cannabis, with an estimated street value of $25,375.
A 24-year-old man was arrested, and later charged with supplying and possessing prohibited drugs. He has been granted conditional bail to appear at court on 14 March.
Further investigations led to the arrest of a 23-year-man in Byron Bay about 5.40pm yesterday. He was charged with commercial supply of a prohibited drug and supplying a prohibited drug. The man has been refused bail, and will appear at court today.
Police allege the 23-year-old man supplied drugs to another man who died in Lismore Hospital on Monday.
