A proposed solar farm near Glen Innes has been shortlisted for a share in $100-million in funding from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency.
Goldwind Australia is soon to begin construction of its White Rock Wind Farm, 25-kilometres from the town.
Its solar project would be located adjacent to that site.
The company is seeking input from Aboriginal stakeholders to assist in preparing a heritage assessment.
It will submit its next application by June 15.
