DASHCAM CAPTURES HIT AND RUN IN NEWCASTLE

Shocking footage has emerged of a hit and run in Newcastle.

A dashcam captured the moment a Holden Rodeo hit a cyclist, at the intersection of Darby and Parry streets just after 5pm yesterday.

A man can be seen jumping out of another car, and chasing the Rodeo on foot.

Dashcam owner Steve Meldrum promptly shared the video on social media.

“It was actually shock at first because you don’t expect to see that sort of thing and particularly because the guy didn’t stop and you wonder if the guy on the bike is ok.”

Thankfully the 25-year-old cyclist wasn’t seriously injured.

Police are investigating.
