Hasn’t docking tails been banned since 2004?
Obviously the purebred dog world here in Australia is still actively promoting mutilation of dogs in its
shows, shame, shame shame.
Dogs that are bred within australia a longer docked. You are allowed to import and show dogs from other countries, like New Zealand etc. that have docked tails though. Do not shame what you don’t know we do not promote mutilation, we want the VERY best for all our dogs which is why we spend so much on health tests & research unlike byb etc.
Your argument is moot, docking is banned, so sending your poor pregnant bitches to New Zealand to mutilate their puppies tails is ok?? The Kennel club should stand by Austraila’s laws and ban docked dogs in the showring, after all, don’t they promote that they support the welfare of dogs? Mutilating a dog’s tail is not going to stop it dying from an inherited defect. Fools living in your own little bubble. Take note that the general public ABHOR chopping off tails for looks alone.
The Doberman you see in the picture is an Import from New Zealand and New Zealand supreme court found that tail docking was not mutilation and caused no harm to the dog. The Rottweiler that you see in this picture is also a new Zealand import so before opening your mouth about how tail docking as been banned since 2004 how about you do some research before making openly defamatory comments.
