ACCUSED IN CUSTODY AFTER ONE PUNCH DEATH IN COFFS

The Coffs Harbour man accused over the one-punch death of Ulmarra plumber Kyle Watkins remains behind bars, ahead of a court hearing in the new year.

24-year-old Tyson Egan was charged with the manslaughter of Watkins, after a fight which broke out in the Coffs CBD on October 3.

Egan was initially refused bail, and was remanded in custody again today when the court heard more time was needed for transcripts of telephone conversations.

The case is due to return to court in February.
