HUNTER TOURISM OPERATORS GIVEN A CASH BOOST
The state government has given two Hunter tourism operators a boost, with a $370,000 grant to attract more visitors the region.
Port Stephens Tourism received $197,000 for a Destinations Marketing Program while The Hunter Resort was allocated $175,000 for its Hunter Valley Adventure Centre Project.
Minister for Trade, Tourism and Major Events, Stuart Ayres, says the funds are from the Regional Visitor Economy Fund and will grow local economies in regional New South Wales.
“These funds will not only go towards upgrading and improving business services, but will provide a platform for NSW regional tourism operators to promote their wonderful products and experiences to domestic and international visitors,” he said.
