Police negotiators have arrived at what’s believed to be a hostage situation in Sawtell, on the Mid North Coast.
There are reports an armed man inside a house on Eungella Street, is a prison escapee and is holding a relative against their will.
Students and staff from a nearby school were safely evacuated.
