WEEKEND WEATHER LATEST

Following a 40 degree scorcher, those in the Hunter and on the Central Coast are lapping up the more mild weather this weekend.

A southerly change moved up the coast last night, bringing relief to coastal residents in the Hunter about 10pm, extending further north and inland a short time later.

Sydney’s CBD fell from 35 degrees at 7:30pm to 25 degrees by 8pm, allowing for a more comfortable night for sleeping.

Temperatures on the NSW far north coast and north west have soared into the high 30s and low 40s again today.

There is currently a Strong Wind Warning for the Byron Coast and Coffs Coasts as a cool southerly buster reaches those areas.

By Thursday next week, we could be in for another warm one, with temperatures potentially reaching into the thirties and higher.
