The Hunter Region’s SES command will soon have a new leader, with regional controller, Amanda Williamson, quitting the post.
Ms Williamson, who started in the job last year, says she’ll leave the top job on December 11 but has a lot to do in the meantime.
“My focus for the next three weeks, will be on… Securing leadership for the Hunter, ensuring units have all the support they need up until Christmas (and) supporting the region’s staff in operational planning for 2016”.
Ms Williamson attracted criticism from other volunteers, after five regional controllers lost their jobs during a restructure of the organisation.
