GUNS AND AMMUNITION STOLEN NEAR MOREE

Five firearms and more than 200 rounds of ammunition has been stolen from a property near Moree.

Police say the property on Kiwora Road at Bingara was broken into sometime between 10am last Friday and 6:30pm on Monday.

Two double-barel shotguns and three bolt action .22 calibre rifles were taken from a safe inside a shed.

No other items were stolen.
