A historic building on the state’s Mid North Coast has been torn apart by fire in the early hours of the morning.
Grafton firefighters say it’s the biggest blaze they’ve ever battled.
The flames of the fire were so powerful they brought down nearby powerlines.
A next door neighbour escaped the blaze when he was woken by his dog, but fortunately the fire service was able to contain the blaze before it spread to his home and business.
