Residents of a Mid North Coast home were lucky to escape injury, when it became engulfed in flames overnight.
The fire broke out just before 6pm before spreading quickly through the two storey home in Parkes Drive at Korora.
It is believed the fire started in a downstairs bedroom unit attached to the main building.
Neighbours tried to contain the blaze with garden hoses, but the house it’s likely it will need to be demolished as it is located near neighbouring properties and now represents a safety threat.
Investigators are still trying to establish what caused the blaze.
