Police are investigating after an armed robbery in Armidale on Sunday night.
At around 8pm, two men armed with kitchen knives entered a restaurant at a shopping complex on Queen Elizabeth Drive.
The men threatened staff with the knives, before one of the men assaulted a woman.
The men then took the cash register, fleeing on foot.
One of the offenders is described as being aged between 25 and 30 and about 180cm tall.
The other man is described as being around 20 to 30 years old.
