OURIMBAH BOARDING HOUSE GETS GREEN LIGHT
A controversial Central Coast boarding house has been given conditional approval.
The Joint Regional Planning Panel last night passed plans for student accommodation and car parking to be built on Glen Road at Ourimbah.
Developer, K & P Gregory, had originally applied for a 101 unit boarding house, but the JRPP has requested the building’s western wing be removed to reduce the overall scale of the development to 82 units.
Residents have long campaigned against the project, claiming it doesn’t fit in with the suburb’s ‘village’ feel.
