Police are urging residents in Wingham to be on the lookout for scammers, following reports of men posing as tradesmen, offering to carry out painting jobs.
Police say the pair have been targeting elderly victims and asking they pay prior to work being carried out, but never finishing the job.
They have been described as male, tall, aged in their twenties and, dressed in High Visibility shirts
Anyone with information is being urged to contact Taree Police.
