Tigerair has announced plans to extend its services into Coffs Harbour.
From December, the airline will run three weekly return flights between Melbourne and Coffs Harbour.
A spokesperson for the low cost carrier says more than a thousand seats will be available each week.
Tigerair first launched services to Coffs Harbour 2 years ago with flights from Sydney.
Coffs Harbour Mayor Denise Knight says the announcement is great news for tourism and the community.
