More than 100 people will lose their jobs, when iconic Lismore company ‘Mills Transport’ ceases operation next month.
The transport company, run by four generations of the Mills family, has been operating for 91-years in the Northern Rivers.
Director Reg Mills says it was a difficult decision, but feels the industry is no longer profitable.
Jobs will be lost at its head office in Lismore, as well as at depots in Brisbane, Murwillumbah, Harwood, Coffs Harbour and Sydney.
