THREE FIRMS SHORTLISTED FOR NEW GRAFTON BRIDGE

Three contractors have been shortlisted to design and build the second bridge across the Clarence River at Grafton.

Clarence MP, Chris Gulaptis says Lend Lease Engineering, Seymour Whyte Constructions and Fulton Hogan Construction were chosen from nine potential contractors.

He says the successful tenderer, to be announced early next year, is also required to deliver local road network upgrades, flood mitigation and a new pedestrian and cycle path.

The $210 million project is expected to be complete by 2019.
