WOMAN INJURED IN REPTON CRASH

A 34-year-old woman is recovering in Coffs Harbour Hospital after her car collided head-on with a four-wheel-drive

at Repton at around 7.30 this morning.

The woman’s car was pushed backwards into the river and was partially submerged.

Nearby residents were alerted to the trapped woman who sounded the car’s horn.

The driver of the four-wheel-drive failed to stop at the scene but rolled his vehicle a short distance away.

The man fled into nearby bushland and is still on the run.

The Repton woman sustained a broken ankle and a fractured collarbone.
