KNIGHTS LOSE TO ROOS IN NSW CUP

The Knights’ New South Wales Cup side suffered a frustrating loss to Wyong.
The Roos only had themselves to blame for the opening try.
Honeti Tuha snatched an intercept and raced 80 metres to open the scoring for Newcastle.
Wyong responded a few minutes later as captain Mitch Williams teed up a try.
The see-sawing continued as Joseph Tapine put the Knights back in the lead.
Newcastle extended its advantage by keeping the ball alive… and following several passes, Tuha crashed over to grab a double.
But the Roos weren’t going to be outdone – Nathan Smith exploited a Knights’ mistake shortly before the break, as Wyong went on to win by two.
