Shearwater Lodge in Coffs Harbour will accommodate more patients undergoing treatment for cancer following the closure of two similar facilities in the city.
Brenna Smith from Cancer Council New South Wales says people who had been staying elsewhere are welcome to move into Shearwater Lodge on the Coffs Harbour Health Campus.
Regional Lodge and Stramit House are closing after the charity, Coffs Harbour Regional Cancer Services folded – blaming funding and membership difficulties.
