Police have released the image of a man wanted after a teenage girl was approached at Nelson Bay.
About 8pm last Wednesday, the 14-year-old girl was running at Little Beach when she was approached by a man on the jetty.
The man spoke to the girl causing her to become afraid. She ran from the scene.
Shortly after, the teen saw the same man driving a champagne coloured 4WD with a black stripe and tinted windows.
She told police the driver followed her onto Gowrie Avenue, where she was able to hide.
The man is described as Caucasian, about 45-years-old, with blonde/brown hair and beard, tanned complexion and height between 160 and 180cm tall.
