MAN ACCUSED OF STEALING A BULLDOZER AND DESTROYING A HOUSE FACES COURT

A 48 year-old didn’t apply for bail in Newcastle Local Court after allegedly driving a bulldozer through a house and smashing into four cars at Teralba yesterday.

Jamie Francis Sager has been charged with destroying property with intent to endanger life, stealing the bulldozer and breaching an AVO.

Sager appeared in court this morning, and his solicitor made an application for a mental health assessment.

Matthew Unwin told the court his client has a history of mental health issues.

The case was adjourned to August 5.
