The Peninsula Chamber of Commerce says the decision to close Woy Woy’s Roads and Maritime office is “totally unacceptable”.
Staff were advised yesterday that the centre, which currently services more than 35,000 people, will close on August 8.
The closure will leave Gosford and Erina as the nearest available centres for peninsula residents.
