A lucky escape for a Lake Macquarie man, whose luxury boat was destroyed by fire, while berthed at Rathmines.
The 60 year old was in the shower of the 35 foot vessel at about 8:30 last night when he realised it was on fire.
He was able to escape with only minor burns.
Fire crews were called, but there was little they could do, with the vessel already well alight.
The blaze is NOT being treated as suspicious.
