Police have charged a man in relation to two robberies in Newcastle this week.
On Monday, a female taxi driver was threatened by a man with a knife at Islington, who then stole her mobile phone and cash.
On Wednesday morning an employee of a service station at Mayfield West was threatened by a man with a knife. He stole cash and groceries.
About an hour later police went to a home on Hanbury Street at Mayfield and a man jumped from a second story window. He was arrested after a short chase.
A 22-year-old man is facing two counts of robbery with an offensive weapon.
