ACCUSED NURSING HOME MURDERER TO FRONT COURT IN AUGUST

A former nurse accused of murdering two elderly women in Ballina, is taking her bail application to the supreme court.
Police allege in May last year, Megan Haines delivered fatal doses of insulin to 82-year-old Marie Darragh and 72-year-old Isobella Spencer.
Appearing via video link in Lismore today, the court heard Haines’ bail application will now be heard in the Surpreme Court on the 30th of this month.
Following that, she will appear in Lismore Court on the 7th of August.
It will be the first time Marie Darragh’s daughters Charli and Jan will face the woman accused of killing their mother.
