Hundreds of anglers took to the waters around Coffs Harbour today for the start of the Easter Fishing Classic.
For the next three days they’ll be trying to hook the big one and share in around $30,000 prize money … And some serious bragging rights.
Local experts say ideal weather and sea conditions mean competitors can expect a big catch.
Competition includes a section for deep sea fishers, beach rock and estuary anglers, as well as catch and release sections.
Competition winds up on Sunday when there will be a charity fish auction and presentation.
