BOSS MOSS SACKED

The struggling Central Coast Mariners have sacked coach Phil Moss.

Moss was stood down on Friday morning and will be replaced by technical director Tony Walmsley. Captain John Hutchinson will step-up to a player-assistant coach role until the end of the season. Moss’s assistant Wayne O’Sullivan will be offered a new role with the club.
Reporter Georgina Smyth has the details:

The changes are part of executive vice chairman Peter Storrie’s restructure.
The Mariners who have struggled to attract strong crowds, have won just three of 19 games this season.

They play Melbourne City at Central Coast Stadium on Sunday.
