CRAINE PREPARES FOR JUNIOR WORLD TITLES

Waratah figure skater Kailani Craine is on her way to Estonia, to prepare for the junior world titles.

It’s already been a big year for the 16-year-old, who won silver at her first senior international event in Poland, then grabbed 12th at the prestigious Four Continents Championships in Seoul two weeks ago.

“I definitely want to make it through the long program so that’s top 24 and then anything above that will be fantastic. But I think if I can get top 12 at Four Continents I can definitely get top 12 at Junior Worlds.”

She’s looking to make up for a disappointing effort at junior worlds in 2014.

“I didn’t have the best short program skate last year, if I can produce what I’ve done so far in the year I think I’ll do very well.”
