GUILTY MANSLAUGHTER VERDICT AFTER CENTRAL COAST STABBING

A man who stabbed his girlfriend to death with a kitchen knife on the Central Coast in 2012 has been found not guilty of her murder, in Sydney’s Supreme Court today.

46-year-old Michael John Aller was instead convicted of the lesser charge of manslaughter after the court found he was suffering from an abnormality of the mind, during an attack on Amy Aiton.

Ms Aiton was stabbed during a drug and alcohol fuelled argument with Mr Aller at a Narara townhouse on July 31, after she allegedly said she ‘wanted him to stab her’.

He’ll be sentenced at a later date.
