CYCLONE DOUBLE ACT MAKES HISTORY

Never before have two high category cyclones come ashore at almost the same time in Australia. Cyclone Marcia crossed the coast as Category 5 storm, Lam as a Category 4 cyclone.
Heavy rain will continue overnight across SE QLD and NE NSW causing flooding. Strong winds, large swell and big tidal swings will cause more problems over the next 48 hours. Another is now expected to form in the Tasman across the weekend generating more swell. Only light rain periods are expected in the NW and across the Hunter.
