There was an unexpected thrill for skateboarders in Newcastle today, with the world’s most famous skater, American legend Tony Hawk, showing up at the city’s biggest bowl.
In Australia to defend his Bowl-A-Rama title in Sydney this weekend, the Californian rode at Bar Beach alongside the locals.
While in town, the 46-year-old also took the opportunity to hit the waves with one of HIS childhood idols, legendary Newcastle surfer, Mark Richards.
