ALL-ROUND SUCCESS FOR CENTRAL COAST SURFERS

Avoca’s Macy Callaghan finished second in the Women’s Pro Junior event at the Australian Open of Surfing in Manly today.

Earlier in the day, Adrian Buchan made the most of the small conditions to comfortably win his Round 2 heat in the Men’s WQS event.

Glen Hall also had no problems, with this 7.9 helping him to secure a come-from-behind win.

Meanwhile, North Entrance’s Russ Molony has made a strong start to the Surfest Indigenous Classic at Merewether beach.

Looking for a record 10th straight crown, Molony went up against his brother Matt, while Russ took bragging rights, both surfers progressed to Round 3.

The final of the Wandiyali Classic will be surfed tomorrow.
