A man has been charged over the brutal murder of a pregnant woman on the Gold Coast.
The 35-year-old Surfers Paradise man is accused of killing the woman with a tomahawk during a domestic dispute at Varsity Lakes yesterday afternoon.
Emergency services found the woman with horrific head injuries.
She was rushed to hospital, but died soon after.
The man has been remanded in custody and will reappear at the Southport Magistrates Court in May.
