Private irrigators in the Murray- Darling basin now have access to a $100 million federal government infrastructure fund.
It’s the third round of a private irrigation program, which is designed to improve the efficiency and productivity of water use and management.
Water Minister Kevin Humphries believes investing in off-farm infrastructure will benefit surrounding communities, via local contractors and suppliers.
The first stage of the application process closes on April 30.
