Police are appealing for information, after a man failed to return from a swim at Yamba yesterday.
The man, believed to be in his 60s, entered the surf at Main Beach just after midday.
His hat and towel were still on the beach some hours later and no-one had seen him return from the water.
An air and water search failed to find the man.
He’s described as being around 170-centimetres tall, with short grey hair.
He was wearing dark board shorts and had a limp.
While no-one has been reported missing at this stage, police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
