  1. How many more times are we going to see MS sufferer Kristie Cruse on NBN news. She is not the only MS sufferer who has been overseas to various countries to receive HSCT and who is well out of pocket for the cost of travel and treatment. The option for Moscow has been there for at least 2 years and many Australians had the option to go there or elsewhere and chose other hospitals where the treatment was supposedly more successful.
Lets all get behind MS sufferers throughout Australia and get this Government to get off its backside and support MS sufferers.
Kristie Cruse may be out of pocket( I don’t think so) but so is everybody else that has had this treatment overseas so lets see other MS sufferers get a fair share of support and funding.

  2. Hopefully we will see Kristy many more times for all the time and effort she has put into helping others living with MS.

  3. John, Your comment is clearly vindictive and ridiculous. If you cared about these people going overseas, you would applaud Kristy’s efforts in raising awareness and selflessly helping hundreds of others. As far as the eye can see, no-one else has her passion and dedication…if they did, we would be seeing them in the media lobbying politicians like Kristy does. Your comment is a perfect example of ‘tall poppy syndrome’.

  4. John your comments are not only uninformed and one sided but also incorrect and contradictory. You state “Lets all get behind MS sufferers throughout Australia and get this Government to get off its backside and support MS sufferers.” That is precisely what Kristy has and continues to do – but you would not know that as you don’t know her you have only seen her on TV (and obviously it has also sparked conversation and possibly action from you on the topic??). Kristy has single raised more awareness for MS and HSCT in the past almost 12mths since she appeared on 60 Minutes than anyone else that has had HSCT overseas. Fact: Her story opened the world of HSCT to HUNDREDS of PWMS. She assists everyone and anyone that asks with information on not only Russia but ALL worldwide facilities that are offering HSCT. Get informed or don’t comment.
