WEATHER: WET START TO 2015

Goonengerry in north eastern New South Wales received 290-millimetres overnight from a stalled storm surge. Over 100mm fell nearby.

Southport on the Gold Coast received 88-millimetres.

More storms are expected tomorrow, with the chance of more localised flash flooding. Storm development will be widespread inland after another hot start to the day.

Coastal seabreezes will fan the beach suburbs.
