A near disaster at Lismore Hospital Base this morning, with a concrete pump rolling on its side during construction of the new emergency department.
Workers had little warning, as the machine toppled shortly after seven o’clock.
“They’ve been earthmoving and that near where they’ve set up, so I think that’s given way.”
“I didn’t even hear it, then boom, heard the boon hit the ground.”
No one was injured during the incident.
Work Cover is investigating, and the site remains closed.
