DATE SET FOR MARINERS CHAMPIONS LEAGUE QUALIFIER

It’s been confirmed, the Mariners will play their AFC Champions League qualifying match in Australia early next year.

Phil Moss’s men will face either a Chinese, Burmese or Singaporean opponent in Gosford, in a one-off clash on February 17, with the winner to advance to the main draw of Asia’s premier competition.

If successful, a spot in Group F awaits, including Korean side Seongnam, who defeated the yellow and navy five-nil in 2012, and the reigning Japanese champions Gamba Osaka.
