BRIDGE REPLACEMENT A STEP CLOSER

Plans to replace two of Taree shire’s worst bridges have taken the next step, with council awarding the tender to complete the projects.

Delaney Civil will demolish and replace the Dyres Crossing Bridge, west of Nabiac and Dickensons Creek Bridge, 12-kilometres north of Taree.

Both timber bridges have been in poor condition for years.

The $3-million project is expected to be complete by July next year.
