An elderly couple has been rushed to hospital this afternoon, after being bashed with an axe-handle at Coombabah.
The couple’s very own grandchild and two of his friends are accused of launching the vicious attack.
Witnesses say the 67 year-old grandfather walked next door to where his teenage grandson lives… when a screaming match broke out.
The 14 year old allegedly attacked his grandfather.
Police say his two young friends then jumped in, bashing the elderly man in the head with their fists, then a heavy wooden axe-handle.
