SURFING COMMUNITY REMEMBERS BARRY “MAGOO” MCGUIGAN

Much loved Central Coast surfing icon, Barry McGuigan, has passed away at the age of 85.

Affectionately known as “Magoo”, the veteran of the waves was diagnosed with lymphoma in 2010.

Despite batting the disease, he remained a big personality on the coast by taking part in charity events and founding the “Magoo” Surf Classic.

The former fire fighter was also an Australian long board champion and yoga guru.
