With just two weeks until annual schoolies celebrations hit Byron Bay the future of the town’s ‘Schoolies Hub’ remains uncertain.
A lack of funding means the service, which offers advice to party-goers might not be able to operate.
Byron Shire Council has reacted to the threat, and is discussing providing the organisation with much needed financial support.
At next week’s council meeting, Mayor Simon Richardson will also call for all development application and license fees to be waived.
